They once manufactured high-precision measuring instruments, speedometers, rev counters and car clocks. Today, their expertise has expanded to include the manufacture of high-quality wristwatches, marine clocks and other nautical instruments.
In 1995, Mühle Glashütte received a request to produce a robust, water-resistant wristwatch as marine equipment in addition to its main area of marine chronometers and traditional ship's clocks. This was the start of the production of the wristwatches and speciality watches that are so popular today.
