Cocktail: what ladies wear
Ladies can choose the classic "little black dress", which is a shift dress that reveals the décolleté, shoulders and arms. The rules here are that the dress should reach to the knee, be form-fitting and have a simple cut. It can be combined with eye-catching accessories, with silver chains being particularly popular. Stilettos and a small black handbag are worn to match the outfit.
Plain-colored dresses, for example in fuchsia, lemon yellow or alsphalt grey, are also considered cocktail wear. These can be a little more eye-catching, for example with a flounce or waterfall neckline. They can also be combined with accessories. However, these should be more sparing.
The updo, which is possible with shoulder-length and longer hair, looks particularly festive and matches both the little black dress and the more elaborate dress. Make-up should be subtle, however.
