The tuxedo that must be worn for this occasion is usually black. It should be noted that the French term is slightly misleading in German, as a tie must never be worn with a tux. The elegant black suit with the silk stripe on the trouser leg is always combined with a black bow tie and is also worn with either a vest or a cummerbund. If the tuxedo has a double-breasted jacket, the vest or cummerbund can be omitted.
The jacket is basically in the shape of a jacket with lapels trimmed with fine silk satin. The closing button is also covered with the same silk.
The pockets of the tuxedo jacket do not have a flap. In Europe, the tuxedo jacket is commonly worn in the colors midnight blue and black; in southern countries, it may also be white or ivory due to the higher temperatures. The tuxedo jacket and trousers should be the same color. The white jacket is an exception. This is combined with black trousers.
A pocket watch is preferable to a wrist watch. If you can't do without a watch on your wrist, you should choose the gold version.
